Every Generation and Generations to Come

On April 8, 2015, more than 150 guests gathered at Merion Golf Club for an evening in celebration of "Every Generation and Generations to Come" featuring Founder and former CEO of the Vanguard Group, John C. Bogle.

Guests enjoyed the knowledgeable and passionate perspective of Mr. Bogle, who weighed in on what hospitals must do in order to survive in the rapidly changing field of health care. He drew interesting parallels from his business experience and offered a heartfelt appreciation for what makes Bryn Mawr Hospital stand out—the team’s personalized approach to healing individuals.

Also honored that evening were members of the community who have supported the hospital in a variety of ways: from the loyal donors of the 1893 Society who have made charitable gifts to the hospital for 20 or more consecutive years, and the Legacy Society members who have planned for future support of Bryn Mawr Hospital; to those who have helped to build the hospital and its reputation for excellence, including active and Emeritus members of the medical staff, and volunteer leaders, past and present.

Bryn Mawr Hospital President Andrea Gilbert shared exciting plans for the modernization of the hospital in the form of a $200 million investment which will result in a new five-story hospital building, opening in 2018, to house all-new operating rooms, a state-of-the-art intensive care unit and two inpatient units with spacious and modernized private patient rooms.
