Online advertising and visitor analytics
Main Line Health utilizes Google Analytics and other analytics providers on its web properties to track the effectiveness and relevance of our website to visitors. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google. Google utilizes the anonymized data collected to track and examine the use of mainlinehealth.org, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google may use the anonymized data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. Main Line Health may also use other third party analytics providers comparable to Google that will similarly have access to and analyze data.
In addition, as you browse mainlinehealth.org and other websites, online ad networks we work with may place anonymous cookies on your computer, and use similar technologies, in order to understand your interests based on your (anonymous) online activities, and provide more relevant ads to you. This website uses these remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to previous visitors to our site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone's past visits to our website. Any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy, Google's privacy policy and the applicable third party service providers' privacy policies, as applicable.
You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin. To do so, please follow the instructions provided by your browser which are usually located within the "Help" or "Preferences" menu. You can also visit The Network Advertising Initiative to opt out of most companies that engage in targeted advertising. (This will not prevent you from seeing ads; the ads simply will not be delivered through these targeting methods.)
Information about data collected by Google can be found by visiting google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.
