Meeting the challenges of public health head-on in the Philadelphia suburbs

For the 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), Main Line Health participated in a Regional Community Health Needs Assessment (rCHNA) which identified health needs throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. This effort, spearheaded by the Health Care Improvement Foundation and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, brought together 8 other local health systems, including: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Doylestown Health, Jefferson & Einstein Health, Grand View Health, Holy Redeemer, Penn Medicine, Temple Health, and Trinity Health.

CHNA plan initiatives and implementation

The information provided in the 2022 regional CHNA (rCHNA) by community members through a series of community-based conversations, informed the 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment. There were 12 regional priority areas highlighted. Main Line Health will address 7 key priority areas in its three-year CHNA Implementation Plan including: Mental and Behavioral Health, Access to Care, Chronic Disease Prevention and Management, Maternal Health and Senior Care needs, Diversity, Respect, Equity and Inclusion, and Social and Economic Conditions (e.g. Food Access, Housing and other Socioeconomic barriers).
