Welcome to the Family Medicine Residency Program at Bryn Mawr Hospital
Welcome to the Bryn Mawr Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. Our dedicated faculty are passionate about educating residents and helping guide them to prepare for the career within family medicine they desire. Every resident has a faculty mentor to support them during the 3 years of residency. Wellness and connection are core parts of our training program and contribute to our resident's successful development.
Our core resident experiences take place within Main Line Health facilities. Building relationships and providing care for an outpatient panel is an important key learning experience for family medicine residents. Our residents get that experience at our outpatient offices - Bryn Mawr Family Practice and/ or City Line Family Medicine. Our sites give residents experiences of caring for a diverse patient panel with a multidisciplinary team, integrated psychology, social work, nutrition, and training in LGBTQ care. Residents have variety of electives to ensure their residency meets their individual goals for training.
Our program offers residents an opportunity to develop a strong foundation in family medicine to prepare for their individual goal of a career in primary care. Residents are well prepared for the boards, and the pass rate of the residents in our program for the last 5 years is 100%. Recent graduates of the program have gone on to fellowships in sports medicine, palliative care, women's health, and addiction medicine. Graduates have taken jobs as hospitalists, urgent care, outpatient offices, and are working as innovators in healthcare delivery systems. The skills and experiences our residents gain in the program allow them to be well prepared for a variety of next steps in their career.
I am looking forward to meeting applicants with a passion for Family Medicine.
Sincerely,
Christine Black-Langenau, DO
Director, Bryn Mawr Hospital Residency Program
