Legacy Brick Terrace-- initial installation is complete!

In December, the first phase of the terrace was completed with 225 legacy bricks installed. The funds raised through this campaign are supporting the Auxiliary’s current commitment to Paoli Hospital: the new Interventional Vascular Suite opening in 2022. Bricks are still available for purchase and are an excellent way to acknowledge appreciation for Paoli Hospital, celebrate family, honor a veteran, remember a loved one or thank a healthcare professional. Gifts at work to support grieving families

The loss of a pregnancy or newborn is often unexpected and traumatic. Affected family members have different ways of grieving and coping with their loss. The goal of the Perinatal Bereavement Program at Main Line Health is to provide parents and families with compassionate care that supports them during this complex bereavement process. Charitable gifts help fund practical resources such as remembrance options, memory-making items, and take-home literature. Recently, the Paoli Hospital Foundation supported the purchase of books for parents who experienced the loss of a child. Palliative Care Nurse Susan McAndrew explains, “These books help parents connect with their child which is an important part of grieving. We also provide books for siblings to help them process the loss. We want to be able to offer the most supportive care possible and charitable gifts to support this program help us to do that.” To make a gift to the Perinatal Bereavement Program at Main Line Health, click here.

NICU Family Gives Back

On December 27th, Lucas Prochorenko, a patient in December 2020 at Paoli Hospital’s NICU, was brought by his family bearing gifts to thank the staff who helped him reach a happy and healthy first birthday. Nick and Marissa Prochorenko, along with Nick’s parents Anni and David Prochorenko, brought Lucas into Paoli Hospital with blankets knitted by the Prochorenko family for NICU parents, and treats for the staff. They also made a charitable donation to the hospital’s NICU fund to support other families. Thank you to Lucas and his family for such a sweet gesture of gratitude!
