Pot of Gold raffle raised more than $12,000!
The luck of the Irish was palpable as members of the Paoli Hospital Auxiliary gathered throughout March to sell raffle tickets at the hospital. Not only did they have fun talking to and meeting employees and visitors, but they sold a record number of raffle tickets! The auxilians celebrated the success at the Live at Five Facebook St Patrick's Day Event by raising a glass of cheer, drowning the shamrock, and drawing our lucky winners. Many thanks to our Paoli Hospital Auxiliary for their dedicated and joyful support of the hospital!
Paoli Hospital volunteers committed to legacy gift
Sue and Bob Bucco are the consummate volunteers. They both grew up in households that valued getting involved with the local community; had careers that focused on benefiting others; and wholeheartedly threw themselves into volunteering for Paoli Hospital when it came time for retirement. Bob joined the Paoli Hospital Foundation Board as a Trustee, and Sue helped head up major events as a member of the Conestoga Branch of the Auxiliary. In addition, both volunteer at the hospital – Sue at the information/screening desk and Bob in transportation.
Bob is also a member of the Planned Giving Committee, making it a natural decision to include the hospital in his and Sue’s estate plan. What they hadn’t realized before he joined the committee was how easy it was. He and Sue simply went to their IRA website and designated Paoli Hospital as a partial beneficiary of their retirement account. As Bob said, “It was easy, and we didn’t need a lawyer!” They both feel gratitude for Paoli Hospital and were happy to find such a simple way to show their appreciation, while making an impact on the future of the hospital.
If you feel the same gratitude that Sue and Bob do, we hope you’ll consider supporting Paoli Hospital in a similar way. Click here for more information on making a planned gift to Paoli Hospital.
Doctors’ Day campaign raises $36,000 for Main Line Health
A digital and direct mail campaign to commemorate Doctors’ Day raised more than $36,000 for Main Line Health with a total of 127 grateful patients contributing directly to Paoli Hospital. The campaign encouraged patients to make a gift in honor of their doctor. Many donors opted to use the enclosed form and include a personalized note of appreciation to their physician which were shared with the doctors at the annual Doctors’ Day breakfast. One donor noted, "These are so often people that have not only made a difference to one's physical health, but have also shone as a beacon of encouragement, support, and hope. To be able to say, ‘thank you’ to these doctors is a gift to me." Its not too late to make a gift in honor of your favorite doctor!
