Car seat safety: Lunch and learn with Safe Kids of Chester County

Grab your lunch and join us for a presentation on car seat safety. The webinar will be hosted by certified car seat technicians from Safe Kids Chester County. Discussions will include proper car seat use and highlight the most common dangerous misuses observed by car seat technicians. Information will also be shared on child hyperthermia and how to avoid the dangers of leaving a child in a car alone. If you are traveling with a child in your car, this class is for you!

Prepared childbirth series webinar

This online, two-part program is part of Main Line Health's Virtual Childbirth Education opportunities. Topics will include understanding labor, comfort measures, epidural anesthesia, vaginal and Cesarean birth, and post-partum care. There will be opportunity for question and answer with a Main Line Health Childbirth educator.

Labor comfort measures webinar

This online, interactive one-session webinar will discuss comfort measures beyond breathing and relaxation that are taught during the Prepared Childbirth Education webinars. Wear comfortable clothes! Topics to be discussed and practiced will include: birth balls, massage and pressure points, hot and cold therapies, aromatherapy and additional positions for comfort. This webinar provides additional information not covered in the Prepared Childbirth Education webinars.

Attending a Prepared Childbirth Education Series or experiencing a previous delivery is a prerequisite to attending this program. It is best to attend this program close to your last month of pregnancy.

Welcoming baby webinar

The Main Line Health childbirth education team will discuss topics such as selecting a pediatrician, caring for your newborn, recommended newborn immunizations, readying your home for your baby, feeding, safe sleep practices and when to call the pediatrician. You'll learn helpful hints about understanding your newborn and gain important information about car seats, infant safety, poison prevention, choosing baby furniture and much more. A pediatrician may join for question and answer if available.

Grandparents are welcome to attend! Only one webinar registration is needed. The webinar link provided at registration will allow access on multiple devices.

This webinar does not provide instruction on infant CPR. Infant CPR classes are offered by the American Red Cross.

In-person instruction on bathing and diapering will be provided during your hospital stay.

During this program you will learn breastfeeding techniques to get you off to a good start, steps for successful breastfeeding, and information for coping with common situations or problems that can occur in the early weeks.
