Browlift
Wrinkles and sags that develop above the eyes can mistakenly convey feelings of anger, fatigue or unhappiness. A browlift, also known as a forehead lift, can reduce horizontal lines on the forehead, the bridge of the nose and between the eyes, improve frown lines and correct low or sagging brows to restore a more refreshed appearance.
What to expect with a browlift procedure
Browlift surgery is an outpatient procedure, so you can expect to go home the same day. It is performed using general anesthesia or intravenous sedation. Patients typically experience very little pain after a brow lift, but it is common to feel slight discomfort as well as a sensation of tightness throughout the forehead. You will probably have some swelling and bruising for one to two weeks after the surgery. As you heal and the swelling dissipates, your smoother and more youthful-looking forehead will emerge. A follow-up appointment will take place one week after the procedure to remove the sutures and check on your progress.
Eyelid lift (blepharoplasty)
Are you tired of looking tired? If you're self-conscious about loose, saggy or puffy skin around your eyes, cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, also called an eyelid lift, can help you look more refreshed and youthful.
What to expect with blepharoplasty/eyelid surgery
Depending on your preferences, you will receive either local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia for your surgery. After you're comfortable, we will remove extra skin and fat from your eyelids. Sometimes, we can combine lower eyelid lifts with a skin peel to help tighten the surrounding skin. After your procedure, cool compresses will be placed on your eyes to minimize swelling and discomfort. You can expect to go home the same day as your surgery. Follow-up appointments will take place one week and one month after your procedure to make sure your recovery is progressing well and you are happy with the results.
