In 1963, when Samuel Riddle, a noted sportsman and Delaware County native, left in trust the land and financial support to build a hospital to serve his community, our mission at Riddle Hospital began.
I have already witnessed how our hospital embodies Mr. Riddle's legacy, providing high-quality, compassionate care to those who live and work in our community. Part of Main Line Health, Riddle Hospital has been nationally recognized by The Joint Commission, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Society of Chest Pain Centers and other health care rating organizations for its high-quality patient care.
As we embark on a journey to modernize Riddle's campus, our goal is to revitalize our infrastructure to match the high-quality, patient-centered care and superior experience delivered to our patients each day. One of the many aspects of this Master Facility Plan is the renovation of The Birthplace at Riddle Hospital, expected to be completed in early 2020. Today, The Birthplace welcomes nearly 1,000 babies each year, and that number is expected to grow significantly over the next decade. Our campus modernization project will enable us to care for our community in an improved environment that supports superior care delivery and meets a higher level of patient experience expectations. With these changes, we are redoubling our commitment to providing a safe, timely, more efficient, effective, equitable and patient-centered experience for everyone we serve.
In addition to maternity care, Riddle Hospital offers a full range of services, including orthopaedic care, heart care, emergency medicine, primary care services, cancer care, imaging and radiology, stroke care, audiology, and more. We also offer community health services intended to inform and educate the population we serve.
I want to thank you for choosing Riddle Hospital, which is truly the best place to give and receive care in our community.
Sincerely,
Shelly Buck
