Joint Commission “Gold Seal of Approval”
Our facility voluntarily underwent a thorough evaluation by The Joint Commission. The goal of the evaluation? By meeting these standards, our facility received The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval®—an internationally recognized symbol of quality.
Accreditation means that our staff has made an extra effort to review and improve the key areas that can affect the quality and safety of your care. Specially trained health care professionals who are experts in their fields visited this facility to conduct a review that monitors how well our staff: provide a safe environment for your care; educate you about the risks and options for your diagnosis and treatment; protect your rights as a patient; evaluate your condition, before, during and after diagnosis and treatment; protect you against infection; and plan for emergency situations.
Critical-Care Nurses’ Beacon Award
The Beacon Award for Excellence is a significant achievement recognizing exceptional patient care and healthy work environment. This distinction recognizes unit caregivers who successfully improve patient outcomes and align practices with AACN’s six Healthy Work Environment Standards. Improving the quality and safety of patient care is a core element of the American College of Radiology mission. The College takes a proactive and aggressive approach on key issues impacting radiology.
Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL)
The purpose of the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories accreditation program is to ensure high quality patient care and to promote health care by providing a mechanism to encourage and recognize the provision of quality vascular diagnostic evaluations by a process of accreditation.
Through the accreditation process, facilities assess every aspect of daily operation and its impact on the quality of health care provided to patients. While completing the accreditation application, facilities often identify and correct potential problems, revise protocols and validate quality improvement programs. Because accreditation is renewed every three years, a long-term commitment to quality and self-assessment is developed and maintained. Facilities may use IAC accreditation as the foundation to create and achieve realistic quality care goals.
